General Advice

Generally borrowing money in any country in Europe is similar, here are some points worth remembering:

Interest rates are based on European Inter Bank Offered Rate, and will generally be a shade higher or lower depending on personal circumstances, and reviewed annually on the anniversary of your loan.
Always be very sure of the rates when borrowing money in differing currencies. For example borrowing in Euros when you are earning in Sterling. Your Mortgage advisor will be aware of the best deals on offer.
For a Mortgage you will require the minimum requirements of: Copies of your passport, bank statements, Tax declarations, and at least 3 salary slips. Or if self employed you will need copies of 2 to 3 years accounts.

As a non resident looking to buy in Spain you will be allowed to borrow up to 75% of the valuation or price depending on which is the lowest, And you should be able to borrow up to 3 times you gross annual income
